is on Brooks Street one street south of 98.
It is across the street from the Magnolia Grill and next door to Makong Thai.
If you haven't been to FOKKERS before, what are you waiting for

rock.  StormCrow's picks are any burger on the menu or the pizza (best in town).

New Years Eve 2007 at FOKKERS Sports Pub.  That's right, we are booked for New Years Eve at a sweet
venue in downtown Fort Walton Beach (Thanks Bill and Laura).  FOKKERS is on Brooks Street one street south of 98. It
is across the street from the Magnolia Grill and next door to Makong Thai.  If you haven't been to FOKKERS before, what
are you waiting for.  Try the burgers, they rock.

We're supposed to start around 9 pm.  But.............if a huge crowd is there asking for some music, we might be talked into
starting a little earlier.

April 10, 2007

The Helen Back gigs were a blast.  If you didn't make it to one, you have another chance in August.  There were tons of
peeps out on Friday and the place was rockin.  Everyone had a good time.  I will post some pics soon.  We will be taking
a short break as one of our members goes out of town for a while.  That's the reason the next show is in August and not
earlier.  When he gets back, we will have Helen Back lined up and will try to have some other venues lined up as well.

Keep checking back here for updates.

February 17, 2007

We are psyched to announce the date of our first gig in Florida.  The Site:  One of Fort Walton's favorite local spots........
Helen Back   The date:  Friday, April 6th and Saturday April 7th, 9pm to 1am.   A very big thanks to Tanya at
Helen Back for booking us.  Hope to see all of you there eating a pizza and listening to StormCrow.

February 4, 2007

First contact!!  We took a promo pack to one of Ft. Walton's favorite venues, Helen Back.  So far so good.  First dates
available were August 10th and 11th.   Stay tuned though, if anything opens up, we are ready to step up.  Keep checking
back for updates.

January  1, 2007

We're Back!!  Fully settled now in the Fort Walton Beach area, StormCrow has reformed with two new members.  We are
excited to have John Hoffman on bass and Todd Hanning on drums.   Both are veterans of other bands and with some
time to get organized, we will be ready to hit the Emerald Coast music scene within a couple of months.

July 2, 2005

Yes, this is it...StormCrow is on hiatus. Rob and Jeff are both moving to the Florida panhandle, and they hope to re-start
the band in that region. Dave is still in Albuquerque for another year and may be able to rejoin the band in FL. Clark will
still be around Albuquerque, and wants to stay active musically, so any bands needing a drummer...let us know and we'll
get him in touch with you.

Our farewell show was a success...decent crowd for a weeknight, and the highlight of the evening was the belly dancers!
They walked in during "Mud Man" (great song for belly dancers) and gave a nice little show to promote their upcoming
Wednesday night performances at the Golden West.

It's been a great run and we've enjoyed it...producing a CD, being nominated for a New Mexico MIC award, and overall
having a great time and meeting a lot of cool people. See you around!

~Dave/StormCrow

June 19, 2005

Yes, this is it...our farewell show has been confirmed:  Wednesday, June 29 at the Golden West Saloon.  Jeff and Rob will
both be on their way to Florida in the next couple months, so this will be our sendoff bash.  Doors open at 8, we'll start at
9 for an extended set of our originals and several of our favorite cover songs.  Also on the bill that night is
Liquid Gypsy.
No cover charge...come join us to make this a memorable sendoff for Rob and Jeff.  See you there!

June 2, 2005

StormCrow is proud to announce our selection as finalists in the 2005 New Mexico Music Industry Awards! (also known as
the "Mic" Awards). Our song "Withered Soul" was selected as a finalist in the Alternative Rock category.  The New Mexico
Music Industry Awards were created in 1987 to recognize excellence in recorded music of all genres in the New Mexico
music community.  This year's award ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 26 at the Pyramid Marriott here in
Albuquerque.  Some finalists will also have the chance to perform for the crowd between presentations, so we're eagerly
awaiting word on that.  For more information about the NMMIA and the awards banquet, visit
The NMMIA homepage

With that good news, we also have a bit of sad news in that things are kind of winding down for StormCrow. Jeff is due to
leave in July as the Air Force is transferring him to Ft Walton Beach Florida (there are worse places to be). Rob is
supposed to follow, probably in mid September.

We've been on a bit of a break since our last show at Burts May 16th, but it looks like we'll have an opportunity for one
last "farewell" show at the end of June.  I'll post the details as soon as they're available, so keep checking back.  There's
a small possibility that we may still perform in August (as a trio without Jeff). But right now it looks like this end-of-June
show will be our last in Albuquerque.  With any luck, I'll be transferred to the same location too but that won't happen for
another year or so.  Until then we'll consider this a hiatus.

What a night at Burt's Tiki Lounge last tuesday! We thought it would be just another weeknight gig (and don't get me
wrong, we always enjoy playing at Burt's). but especially after our previous performance on a wednesday night at Atomic
Cantina--we were up last there, for a crowd of about 10 people, four of whom were actually by the stage listening. Crappy
sound system there too, no monitors so it's hard to hear the vocals...we just didn't have the energy at that show, none of
us really got into it at all.

But like I said, we always enjoy Burt's and the staff there likes us too. Much better sound system, and Steen has got to be
one of the best sound guys in El 'Burque. It started off with a regular-size, weeknight-at-Burt's crowd, maybe 15-20
people, mostly sitting back at the tables, but as our set went on the crowd grew in anticipation of the touring act,
Dusty
45s, a rockabilly band out of Seattle. Toward the end of our set, the crowd reactions got better and better, rivaling the
crowd from our CD release party on a Saturday night two months ago. (and no calls for FREEBIRD this time!) We got
plenty of good comments from the crowd after our set as well.

But Dusty 45s just plain blew us away, those guys were simply AMAZING! Good tight band, great music, lots of energy.
And nice guys too--they complimented us on our set when we talked to them. For their last song, the lead singer climbed
UP ON THE stand-up bass (lying on its side), and lit the bell of his trumpet on fire as he played a solo to end the song.
WOW!! I bought a CD and I've been listening to it over and over for the past two days.

But it didn't end there--
Five Minute Sin also had a great set...they're getting back out in the Albuquerque scene after a
six-year hiatus. Cool sound too, I hope to see them again as well. Check them out if you get a chance!

Looking forward to our next show, Sat Apr 30 at The Compound with
Twerp, The Same Difference, Hit By A Bus, and
Nunchuk. All of those bands put on a fantastic, energetic show, so it's sure to be a great time. Hope to see you there!

Also a reminder that our CDs are available on line at
CD Baby, and locally at Natural Sound, Music-Go-Round, and three
Hastings locations in NE Albuquerque.  Get one today!

A big thank you for those who came (and stuck around for our set) at the Launchpad show on March 3.  We enjoyed the
crowd and the chance to work with the gang from Fraction Records.

So after taking a short break, we're proud to announce a few more shows.  Friday Apr 1 at Golden West Saloon, with
Obscene Jesters, The Sleestaks, and Eclectic.  We're opening the show at 9:30...21 and over, $5 cover.  Next is
Wednesday Apr 6 at
Atomic Cantina, with Q's Revenge and Motorama (touring from Vancouver).  No cover at Atomic, 21
and over, show starts at 10.  Later in the month, we have another show with
Fraction Records, this one is at The
Compound.  We're opening that show at 7 p.m., followed by
The Same Difference, Twerp, Hit By A Bus and Nunchuk.
The Compound is an all-ages show....advance tickets are on sale for $5.  Email us
here, or call Dave at 321-1992 for
tickets.

Also another reminder that our CD is out...they are of course available at our shows, and also online at
CD Baby.  OR,
you can find them here in Albuquerque at Music-Go-Round (7116 Menaul NE) and Hastings (Lomas/San Pedro
location).  We'll be adding some more local stores soon.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the CD release on Saturday...we had a great time playing our full CD for a good
crowd; overall it was a success!!  Thanks to Pez for the pictures he sent--those are posted on the
photos page.  More
pics to come on that page as we get them in.

Don't forget our next show at
The Launchpad, Thurs March 3.  It's our first time at The Launchpad, so we're pretty
excited, as well  the Albuquerque debut of
Twerp with their new lineup.  The show is being sponsored by Fraction
Records, and the rest of the lineup includes two other Fraction bands, The Same Difference and Hit by a Bus.  Contact
us for tickets--they're going fast!

This is it!!  StormCrow is proud to announce the release of our debut CD, "Consuming the Night."  A release party will be
held this Saturday, Feb 19 at
Burt's Tiki Lounge, with special guests Ki and Hit by a Bus.

The full-length disc’s songs span a variety of styles within the four-member group’s alternative power-rock sound.  From
the opening wail and explosive chords of the lead song “Withered Soul” to the closing acoustic ballad “Peace of Mind”,
StormCrow takes the listener through a set of melodic hooks and thought-provoking lyrics.  The journey includes the
hard-driving rhythm and heavy riffs of “Visions”, the pounding tribal sound of “Mud Man”, and the ethereal feel of
“Morning Haze”.  Throughout the album, songwriter Rob Leeds’ lyrics convey a certain dark optimism on his self-reflective
voyage through life.

There's never a cover at Burt's, so come on out and enjoy some great music and good times!

More shows are on the horizon...we just recently got an invite to the
Fraction Records' show at The Launchpad on Thurs,
March 3rd.  Fraction's owner Jonathan Liber recently moved to Albuquerque from L.A. where he had extensive
involvement in the music business, and he's already hard at work doing some great things for the Albuquerque scene.
Headlining the show is Jonathan's band
Twerp, which he re-formed here in ABQ with former members of Dirty Baby
Dolls.  Also on the lineup are Fraction's newest signings, Hit by a Bus and The Same Difference.  StormCrow is delighted
to be part of this show, we are so glad that Fraction has given us this opportunity.  Look for us at another Fraction show
at The Compound on Apr 30.

Jan 6, 2005

Happy New Year!  We hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season.  We're now in the process of mixing our CD...
the working title for now is "Consuming the Night", which is a lyric from the first song "Withered Soul".

A date is set for the release party, Saturday Feb 19 at Burt's Tiki Lounge. Joing us on stage that night are Ki and Hit by a
Bus, so it's sure to be a great show.  There's never a cover charge at Burt's, so come on down for some great music, and
be sure to get a copy our CD (and don't forget the T-shirts!)

Before the release show, we have another gig coming up on Thurs Jan 20 at the Golden West Saloon. This show is being
set up by our sound engineer Chris Scott, who's billing it as Scream Along Songs birthday bash. On the bill will be other
Scream Along artists Ki, Moray, and Coma Recovery.

Keep checking back often, we plan on lining up more shows these next few months to promote our CD. See ya out there!

Dec 18, 2004

The studio project is progressing along nicely, using a long weekend (and getting some blistered fingers), we got 10
tracks laid down, including our newest songs, "Visions" and "My Enemy".  Instrumental retracking was done the following
weekend and vocals were finished the weekend after that.  Mixing and mastering is next, and we have a tentative date of
Saturday, Feb 19 for our CD release party.  Details will be announced as things are confirmed.

New audio samples are up on the site, the home page has an instrumental snip from "Visions"...check the music page for
samples from "Withered Soul", "Redeem Myself", and "Morning Haze".  We've also got lyrics posted for all 10 songs that
are going on the CD.

Our next show is Thurs, Jan 20 at the Golden West Saloon.  Our studio engineer, Chris Scott is promoting this show as
the "Scream Along Songs birthday bash."  Look for us and other Scream-Along bands to be rockin' the GW that night.

Nov 25, 2004

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and best wishes for a joyful holiday.  As I write, there's the sound of Christmas music
from the stereo, and the smell of Thanksgiving dinner being prepared in the kitchen.

We're excited to be heading into the studio this weekend, recording with Chris Scott from Scream Along Songs. Chris has
been doing the sound for The Zone's Local Access Showcase, and his latest project was Feels Like Sunday's "Follow the
Signs." which was released in September.  We're looking forward to working with Chris...we're just finishing up a couple
new songs so we'll have a total of 10 for a full-length CD.  We'll be planning on a February release date.

We've got a couple of upcoming shows as well, Tuesday Nov 30, at the Golden West with Dead City and Nunchuk. Also
at the Golden West on Saturday, Dec 11 with Shiva and two others TBD.  We're trying to get more ambitious with our
show schedule  leading up to our CD release, so be looking for us to get busy during the months of  Jan/Feb/Mar.

Be sure to check out our StormCrow merchandise!  T-Shirts are available in either black or white, sizes M, L, and XL.
They have a cool looking design on the back, based on our tree artwork, and a StormCrow emblem on the upper left
chest.  You can see them  at the merchandise page.  Then call, email, or buy one at a show.  We've also got a stash of
stickers available free at our shows, or just get one from any band member.

Happy Holidays again to everyone, and we hope to see you out there!
